My sweet niece

Tink has a brand new cousin! She was born Wednesday, May 28 at 8:04pm. She weighed 8lbs 7oz and was 21 inches long. K delivered completely naturally, and is now my hero - I can't imagine being brave enough to deliver a baby without an epidural! They came home from the hospital today and are doing really well.

Two Month Update

We went to the doctor today for a two month checkup and immunizations (not my favorite part). Tinkerbell weighs 9lbs 8oz and is 22 inches long! She is doing really well and charmed everyone with her big blue eyes and smile. She seems to be doing better than the last time she had shots, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. My sister was sent to the hospital to be induced about two hours ago, so I should have an announcement and pictures of her baby girl soon!

Favorite Things

Tink is really starting to play with her toys! She loves her play gym, Bebe Pod, and riding in the Baby Bjorn. R even wore it in Kohl's this week! We've been taking walks in the evening, and she loves to look around at the clouds and trees before drifting off to sleep - I think it takes her back to all of those walks around the block when we were trying to go into labor :) She is eight weeks old today, and I think she weighs about ten pounds, which seems crazy! We go to the doctor next week, so I'll have an official report and two month picture then. She's definitely growing and changing every day! Her newest discovery is her toes, which entertain her while we're in the car. Here are the latest pictures and her very first video :)

My First Mother's Day

Before Tinkerbell was born, we made plans to travel to Oklahoma for Mother's Day so that she could meet our friends and family members that haven't seen her yet. As the weekend grew closer, I became more and more nervous about the hours in the car and the large groups of people that we would be around throughout the weekend. R assured me (repeatedly) that things would be fine, and of course they were. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed seeing everyone. We were thrilled to introduce Tink to her Great Grandparents, and our parents had a wonderful time showing her off to their friends. She is really holding her head up, making eye contact, and social smiling, which we had fun showing off! I also got to celebrate my first Mother's Day, which was perfect! I got a Willow Tree figurine of a mother and baby, which I loved. Here are some pictures our first road trip to Oklahoma. . .
