First Day of School

It's not technically the first day of school around here until next week, but yesterday was the first day back to work for my sister and brother-in-law, so it was the first day to have my niece back for the fall. While I was a little sad to bid summer farewell, I couldn't be happier to begin a new school year at home with Tink and her cousin. I'm going to start "Tot School" with these two, which, from the looks of our first day, could be quite interesting. The goal is to work on basic skills through guided play, which is perfect for their age. If you want to know more about Tot School, click here. Here's a re-cap of our day:
yogurt for breakfast (so much easier now that they feed themselves!)
Watching Sesame Street in their new chairs (thanks, Nana!)
Don't be deceived - this lasted about ten minutes :)

Tot School activity - putting one block in each bowl
(The middle of our day included a very unsuccessful lunch and nap)
honey bee grahams and juice for snack

Fun at the Lake

We celebrated my nephew's 5th birthday last weekend at Lake Texoma! The weather was perfect, but it was Tink's first trip to the lake and I was just a little nervous about taking her on the water. My sister-in-law's family were the perfect hosts and I felt comfortable in no time. Tinkerbell LOVED every minute of the day, from swimming to watching Daddy ride the tube with her cousins. Thanks, Aunt L, for the perfect first day at the lake!
