Four Months!

Tink's four month "birthday" was last Sunday, but her Nana was here for a visit and she and I spent most of last week in Oklahoma, so our doctor's appointment was today. She weighs 12lbs 10oz and is 24 inches long - I can't believe that my kid is two feet tall!!! She has become a total flirt and will give anyone who talks to her a million dollar smile, which is so much fun! She also loves to sit up while being held, and holds her head and legs off the floor while she's laying on her back - you should see this kid's abs! She does not want to miss out on anything! I had to hang up the phone the other day while I was feeding her because every time she heard my voice, she stopped eating to look up and smile at me :) She started showing interest in food about two weeks ago, so we started playing a little bit with rice cereal last week. She LOVES it! The doctor told me today that if things go well with cereal for a few weeks, she's ready to start some solid foods! I'm very excited and a little nervous, and there's just enough information on the internet to have me thoroughly confused! If you have any suggestions or advice, I would love to have it.

WOW!! four months! I cant believe it! Rice cereal man tessa HATED that stuff. My doctor said to start with veggies and then do fruits. This way she wont get used to sweet and only want sweet stuff. And only introduce 1 new thing every 5 days. This is what I have done. I dont know if that helps.

Well, I know how you are totally confused - I was too! I'm about to contradict what andrea said... if you start with fruits, they like it and then associate a positive experience with eating!!! How's that for confusion?! Here's the Dr.Tiffany wisdom: she's going to like whatever she is going to like no matter what order you do it in. Case in point: the first thing besides rice cereal that Audrey ate was bananas and she likes them. The last 2 things I introduced to her were green beans and strawberries and she LOVES the both of those. But yes, only introduce 1 new thing every few days just in case there is an allergic reaction, you'll know exactly what caused it.
